I wanted to write a blog post dedicated to what I love most about being an Asheville, NC Family Photographer. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t want to pinch myself that this is my job! Aside from using my degrees and technical skills, I get to spend time with adorable kids and wonderful families. People make me happy and I hope the images I create for them make them happy too!

What I love about being an Asheville, NC Family Photographer

Preserving Priceless Memories

Time is a thief. It is something that we can NEVER get back. Photos are one of the ONLY investments that will grow in value over time. As a family photographer, you have the privilege of capturing moments that hold immense significance to individuals and families. From the first steps of a toddler to the emotional milestones of a graduating senior, you are entrusted with documenting moments that will be treasured for a lifetime. The ability to freeze time and encapsulate the love and bonds shared by families is a remarkable responsibility that brings me immense satisfaction and joy. Providing others with a tangible memory of their lives to display in their home will forever be something  am so proud of.

Documenting Special Occasions

Families come together to celebrate numerous milestones and special occasions, and a family photographer becomes an integral part of these festivities. From the birth of a baby to a family reunion in Asheville, I get to be present during some of the happiest moments in people’s lives. The joy and excitement that permeate these occasions are contagious. Being able to capture these emotions through my lens fills my cup to the top.

Creativity and Artistry

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be an artist. I am so glad I found family photography as my artistic outlet. Having a job that requires creativity and imagination is a large part of my happiness. As a family photographer, I have the freedom to express your artistic vision. I get to experiment with various locations, styles and lighting techniques. Each family and individual is unique which means each session is unique.  I also really love exploring creativity through editing images and creating magical composites for children and families.

Breathtaking Heirlooms

The photographs I capture as an Asheville family photographer have a lasting impact on families. The images as a tangible reminder of their love, connection, and growth. Printed photographs become heirlooms, passed down through generations, evoking emotions and preserving memories. I love setting time aside to help clients think through the prints they would like of their images. Printed Photographs  bring joy, nostalgia, and comfort to my clients and that is the best feeling.
