Senior sessions are an absolute blast and all about your graduating senior. These session can be unique, creative, elegant, sporty, fashion forward, urban, bohemian... whatever brings out their unique personality. We will meet before the session so we can get to know one another and I can learn all about their interests, likes, dislikes and what their dream session would be! During the session we have a blast, play music and I will give a lot of direction so you are always comfortable behind the camera.

Blue Ridge Parkway senior session
For the adventurous senior we can take an expedition up the Blue Ridge Parkway stopping along the way for unique portraits! The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of my favorite Asheville Photography locations because of al of the lookouts and hikes with sweeping mountain views. Seniors can bring as many items as they wish to include in their photographs.

I LOVE a studio senior portrait session. They are so easy and stress free. Here you will be warm and dry (or cool in the summer). No frizzy hair or sweating off makeup. We can get as creative as you wish using props that are unique to you and your high school experience...sports, music, art, dance... the possibilities are endless!

nothing if they sit on a hard drive getting dusty in a drawer.
My goal is to provide an easy and seamless
process for you to have custom, wall art and
heirloom prints in hand within weeks of your
session. It can be overwhelming to be given
a gallery of 100 images and have to do it all
yourself, and typically the printing never
happens. I value the art I create for you, so I
spend this time to help you select the prints
and products you are going to love today,

Once your session is booked, the fun part begins! Up first is your pre-session consultation. This is a 20 minute phone conversation that happens about a month before
your session. We will use this time to plan the session of your dreams. We will
talk through locations, wardrobe choices and stlyling. I want to learn about your
heart’s most desired images and what you want to walk away with. I want to get
to know all about you and your family. Basically, I want us to feel like friends walking into
your session so I can create a visual story that is authentic to you. We will stay in communication in the time leading up to your session so you are never left with a question unanswered.
This is it! The best part. The part where you get to relax and let me take care of the rest. I will guide you along so you are never left wondering where to look or stand or what to do with your hands. Each session is an hour and takes place at our
chosen location. I will bring everything needed for the session so all you have to
do is show up ready for some fun. I will get a mix of posed portraits and candid
shots. We will play games, twirl, laugh and create something magical that will
be cherished for decades to come.
3. the session
About 3 weeks after your session we will set aside time to meet for your
purchasing appointment. The purchasing appointment takes place at my studio and gives you time to view
your gallery of hand edited, artful images. You will be able to touch all of the print products I offer, and
place your order. As a full service family photographer, I offer the most beautiful
quality prints, heirloom photo albums, canvas and metal wall art, custom
announcements and digital files.
4. the purchasing appointment
This is also the best part! The part where you have beautiful, heirloom prints of the people you love most ready to display in your home. The part where you don't have to worry about setting time aside to print your images or research where to print because it's done and you get to just enjoy the beauty in your life. All prints ordered will be ready in 3 weeks and digital files purchased will be available the same day.

Valerie did our newborn pictures. It was so difficult finding a photographer during the pandemic. When I messaged Valerie she instantly responded and set up a time with me that was two days away. It is very important to get the pictures taken within 7-10 days old. I talked to Valerie about the types of pictures I would like and she listened and was so nice! As soon as we were ready to start taking pictures my baby would not cooperate. It took us 30 minutes to get him to settle down. Valerie never once complained. She was so patient and kind throughout the whole session. I have always dreamed of newborn pictures and Valerie exceeding my dreams. She was so gentle with my baby during the whole session. After the four hour session we were all exhausted. I received my pictures so fast and I loved every single shot! So much that I ended up purchasing every one of them. I highly recommend Valerie! She took the time before our photo session to walk me through outfit choices and color palettes, patiently answering all my questions and taking the time to make sure I felt ready for our session. During the session she was professional and personable, instantly making my kids feel comfortable and she managed to get multiple shots with natural smiles and laughs! She takes time with her clients, making sure you get the pictures you want during the session and did not make us feel like her time was rushed at all. During our first session with her, it started to rain and she magically produced a clear umbrella and continued taking photos, which ended up being some of my favorite pictures of our session!
