The Asheville Senior Photography Experience with Valerie Eidson Photography
There is not a one size fits all to Asheville Senior Photography. Each session should be as unique as the senior being photographed, and this is what I love about photographing seniors. I love finding and bringing out their style, interests, talents. We can get as creative as you want with your location, outfits and props. It is so much fun and makes my heart sing to capture this milestone moment for the seniors and their families. I wanted to take a moment to write an article about the senior portrait experience and what you can expect during out time together. Each of my seniors will get three appointments with me: A consultation, the session and the ordering appointment. I am with you from start to finish to make sure you feel heard, comfortable and excited for your session.
The Pre-Session Consultation
This is a 20 to 30 minute in person or phone meeting that happens atleast one month before your session. We will use this time to plan the session of your dreams. We will talk through image styles your are drawn to, locations, wardrobe choices and styling. You will even get to use my styling service Style and Select. I want to learn about your heart’s most desired images and what you want to walk away with. A series of questions will start a conversation that will get us dreaming together. My goal is for us to feel like friends before your session. This helps me create a visual story that is authentic to you! Bring your mom, dad both or your favorite hype girl/boy with you. I find that having others there who know and care about you can help us create more ideas!
The Asheville Senior Photography Session
This is it! The best part. The part where you get to show up, get pampered and let me take care of the rest. We will have a blast as we explore your location of choice and photograph the evening away. Bring your parents, siblings or a friend to join you on your big day. I will get a mix of posed portraits and candid shots. We will dance, twirl and laugh and create something magical that will be cherished for decades to come. I will guide you every step of the way so you are never left wondering what to do with your hands, how to stand or where to look. You will be completely relaxed in front of the camera and I promise we will have the best time!
The Purchasing Appointment
About 3 weeks after your session we will set aside time to meet for your purchasing appointment. The purchasing appointment gives you time to view your gallery of hand edited, artful images, touch all of the products I offer, and place your order. As a full service senior photographer, I offer the most beautiful quality prints, heirloom photo albums, canvas wall art, custom announcements and digital files. I will deliver all prints, albums and wall art to your door ready to hang on your wall. Any digitals will be available for immediate download. I really care about the art I create for you so I put the time in to making sure you walk away with heirloom quality prints to cherish for generations.
