I am excited to share a maternity session with this adorable mama to be. I love capturing this special and fleeting time, especially for first time parents. We chose to do the session at the Conservatory at the Gardens at Biltmore because this was a winter session I’m just now getting a chance to share because … life. Fun fact, I grew up doing competitive cheerleading with this mama-to-be. We spent many weekends in high school together traveling to various competitions and hanging out by hotel pools. It was SO MUCH FUN to see her again and celebrate this special time.
We stared in the conservatory and took advantage of the walkways with the luscious greens and red flowers. We had the perfect day and the conservatory had no crowds. I LOVED the framing created by all of the plants and flowers.
This session took place in the dead of winter when all trees and vegetation are dead and boring outdoors. This location provided the perfect backdrop of greens that this mama was hoping for. There were so many beautiful spaces we found and the red and cream flowers complimented her dress perfectly. Also, we were warm and toasty inside which helped everyone relax and enjoy the session.
As the day warmed up we headed outside to the bamboo grove on the Biltmore Estate which provided another unique backdrop with greens. Can you even tell it as 30 degrees outside and we were absolutely freezing? This mama nailed every second of this session despite the temps. This location change also offered her an opportunity to change into a different dress to provide some variety to their images.
Lastly, their sweet fur baby, Edie, joined us for the session and hopped in a few photos. This sweet couple chose this first photo as a family of four as a canvas for their home. We also created a gallery wall displaying images from this session and their daughters newborn session. I love providing this service and I LOVE creating beautiful artwork for clients to hang in their homes.
Clients that book a maternity and newborn session together only pay one session fee for both sessions. If you are interested in learning more about a maternity or newborn session please reach out to me here.
I am excited to share another photographer with you from across the world in Australia! Delaine is a Melbourne family and newborn photographer and she is sharing all about a recent newborn session. Please check out her images and show her some love!
